How Garment Remodelling Works
At StitchCraft Atelier, remodelling starts with a project inquiry and a close assessment of the garment and its materials. This allows the studio to understand what can be changed, what should be preserved, and how the design can be developed realistically.
A redesign consultation follows, where the desired outcome, construction details, and fitting limits are reviewed. The concept and scope are then confirmed before any work begins, so the project stays aligned with the garment and the agreed direction.
Every project begins with a careful inspection of fabric, construction, and fit.
From redesign consultations to final collection, each step is planned around the garment itself.
Remodelling may include dress and skirt reshaping, shirt and jacket restyling, fit updates for vintage pieces, or upcycling fabric into a new accessory. When supplementary materials are needed, they are quoted separately and availability is confirmed before use.
After the work is completed, the garment is checked again at collection. If a small final adjustment is needed, it is handled carefully without changing the approved design, helping the finished piece feel considered and wearable.
